Membership
Buy shares. Become a member. Build Sister Midnight with us.
We’re a co-op, which means we’re democratically owned and run by our members. We’re proud to have built a community of over 1,100 members, who have collectively raised more than £365K since 2021 to help us open our venue.
Anyone can become a member of Sister Midnight by purchasing Community Shares. As a member, you’ll be a co-owner of Sister Midnight along with our other members, and will have voting rights on important decisions.
Community shares start from £100, or £25 for a solidarity share.
The first £25K of our current share offer, which will run until 31st March 2026, is being generously match funded by Music Venue Trust and Co-operative UK’s Energy Efficiency Share-match. That means every £100 you invest will unlock another £200, turning £25K of community investment into a £75K contribution towards getting our venue up and running.
What are Community Shares?
Community shares are withdrawable shares that cannot be sold, traded or transferred between members, unlike shares in a typical company. All members are entitled to one vote – regardless of how many shares they hold. Members can be paid interest on their shares, and eventually can withdraw their shareholding, along with any interest accrued. This is subject to the approval of the board.
